Cold Weather Work Coats

Cold Weather Work Coats

When it’s cold we want to stay warm of course, but in the workplace, your coat should work for you and not against you. Choosing cold weather coats can be tricky, just like finding cold weather shoes.

Rebecca’s Tips on Picking Cold Weather Coats For Work.

1. Your coat should match your work environment. Meaning an attorney does not need a bulky heavy, and unstylish coat in the courtroom. A receptionist should not have a formal coat unless she works in a formal environment.

2. Don’t get a coat that works against you, like a coat with no texture, form or style.

3. Be budget conscious, you don’t have to spend $$$ on a good quality coat. Take advantage of sales and resale shops.

4. It’s okay to have more than one cold weather coat. Get one for rainy/sleet weather. One for snow and one for wind. And if you are in the area for blizzard get an Eskimo Jacket, LOL. But keep your area and environment in mind.

5. If you work in a more formal public area get a coat that can be diverse in your wardrobe, meaning a coat that can compliment your shoes.

Dark and solid colors are great for blending.
